"A research in Netherlands has come up with the finding that half of 45-year-olds are in the process of becoming what is called pre-diabetic soon.
This means that these people will show a blood sugar level higher than normal which is usually asymptomatic and is technically called pre-diabetes.
Despite the fact that impaired glucose metabolism would not manifest into symptoms, people with the condition should get themselves regularly tested (preferably every year) to keep a track of their progression, suggests the American Diabetes Association."
